I became a State Farm Agent because fatherhood changed my outlook on how I could protect my loved ones during life events. It was a defining moment for me in March of 2022 when Soledad, my daughter, and I attended a family gathering. She asked me to dance, and being less daring than her, I initially declined. But she persisted, asking again and again until I finally ran out of excuses. With a smile lighting up her face, she grabbed my hand, and we made our way to the dance floor. Little did I know that this dance would soon hold even greater significance.

A few days later, during my lunch break, a driver ran a red light and collided with my jeep, completely totaling it. As the dust settled and the airbags deflated, the vivid images of Soledad and me dancing flashed through my mind. In that moment, a profound sense of relief washed over me. I couldn't help but feel grateful that my uncle Manuel had urged me to have a plan in place when Soledad was born.

The dance with Soledad became a powerful reminder of what could have been lost. It made me question what if I hadn't had that dance with her? What if I never get to experience the joy of dancing with her at her Quinceañera? What if I don't get to walk her down the aisle and share a dance with her on her wedding day? These thoughts weighed heavy on my mind.

While I was fortunate to walk away from the accident with only a few bruises, it reinforced the importance of cherishing every moment with my daughter. It also solidified my commitment to ensuring her well-being, even if unforeseen circumstances prevent me from being there for those significant milestones. I want Soledad to feel my presence and love, no matter what the future holds. That's why I have a comprehensive Life Plan in place.
